CIVS Virtual Die Casting Simulator Showcased at Die Casting Congress & Tabletop

man doing VR demoCIVS Sr. Research Scientist John “Jack” Moreland showcased CIVS projects at the 2025 Die Casting Congress and Tabletop that was held in Milwaukee, WI October 7-9. He hosted hands-on demonstrations of the virtual die casting simulator for operator training and the fire safety training simulator. The simulators were developed in collaboration with NADCA (North American Die Casting Association) and are used for training new die casting operators. Topics covered in the simulator includes die casting machine startup procedures, troubleshooting, melter furnace operation and maintenance, and understanding the effects of modifying parameters on the die casting machine. The three-day event showcased over 100 exhibitors featuring their latest products and technologies.
