Graduate students from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government visited CIVS to learn about the advanced digital technologies and their impacts on steel and other industries on May 6. The visit was organized by Alejandra Castillo, PNW Chancellor’s Fellow for Economic Development. Kyle Toth (CIVS Sr. Research Engineer) and Sam Nielson (CIVS Research Engineer) showcased CIVS and SMSVC by demonstrating various projects with emphasis on how CIVS works with industrial partners to solve real-world problems. The visit concluded by productive a Q&As. The students visited Chicago/Northwest Indiana via their “re-imagining the economy” initiative.
