On September 22-24, CIVS Ph.D. students Dianzhi Meng and Shiyu Wang attended the AIST – Association for Iron & Steel Technology Women in Steel Conference in Indianapolis. This annual event supports the recruitment, engagement and professional development of women in the global steel industry. The event featured breakout sessions, panel discussions, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities to enhance professional growth. More than 500 steel professionals, from operators to human resource personnel, representing individuals at various stages of their careers, participated in this event.
