CIVS welcomes new Post-Doctoral Research Associate, Mario Herrera-Ortega. Mario received his PhD in Engineering Sciences from Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia with a focus on metallurgical and process engineering. His main areas of expertise include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer and numerical simulation of steelmaking processes such as ladle refining and electric arc furnaces. He will start his work in CIVS on the $10 million DOE H2RF project.
